Prime Therapeutics, LLC/Magellan Rx Management (Prime/MRx), a US-based diversified pharmacy solutions organisation serving health plans, employers and government programs, announced on Monday that it has named Mike Edwards as its new president, markets.

In the new role, Edwards will manage the company's growth and client engagement teams across all market segments.

Edwards has served as chief executive officer at MedMinder and chief commercial officer at Truveris and in various executive roles at Optum, including president, commercial markets at OptumRx, UnitedHealth Group's pharmacy business. He has also worked as chief growth officer where he led go to market functions, including sales and account management across all market segments. He has also served in various senior leadership roles at Catamaran, Express Scripts and Medco.
