Urology practice company Urology Management Associates (UMA) disclosed on Monday the addition of Derek Grimes as senior vice president of its Clinical Research at New Jersey Urology (NJU).
Effective April 2019, Grimes will lead the company's Clinical Research Organization (CRO), oversee operational site functions, profit and loss, clinical management and recruitment as well as be responsible for managing and supporting client relationships in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries.
Most recently, Grimes has served as vice president of clinical operations at TKL Research in New Jersey, where he oversaw the Research Clinics division.
Previously, Grimes worked for eight years with Columbia and New York Universities in managing and developing clinical trials for the universities.
