Disc Medicine, a United States-based biotechnology company, announced on Wednesday that it has named William White as its new director.

White is to serve on the company's Audit Committee as its chair.

Presently, White is serving as the chief financial officer and head of Corporate Development at Akero Therapeutics. He has served as head of US Life Sciences Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank and at Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. He was also a law clerk to the Honorable Kimba M Wood of the Southern District of New York and an attorney at Sullivan & Cromwell.
