Prometheus Biosciences Inc, a United States-based biopharmaceutical company, has named Keith Marshall, PhD, MBA as its new chief financial officer, it was reported on Tuesday.

In the new role, Marshall will serve on the executive management team and will head the firm's finance and investor relations functions.

Prior to joining Prometheus, Marshall was executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Conatus Pharmaceuticals. He has also held the position of chief financial officer and head of Corporate Development at Torque Therapeutics, managing director in Healthcare Investment Banking at GCA Savvian Advisors, managing director, co-founder, and chief financial officer at Montgomery, Marshall Healthcare Partners, and managing director of Healthcare Investment Banking at Montgomery & Co.
