Perrigo Company plc (NYSE: PRGO; TASE), a global provider of self-care products, announced on Friday, that it has appointed Rich Sorota as its new as its new executive vice president and president, Consumer Self-Care Americas, effective 23 March 2020.

Sorota is replacing Jeff Needham, who will step down from his current role and serve in an advisory role until his retirement on 30 September 2020.

Sorota has served as CEO and president of Ranir since July 2015. He has a long history of experience in sales, marketing and product development. While at BISSELL Inc, he served as senior vice president and general manager for Global Sales and Marketing and then executive vice president of Global Commercial Operations. Earlier roles included serving as president for HARMAN International, senior vice president and general manager at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, and senior leadership roles in marketing and innovation for Philips Electronics and brand management at Procter & Gamble.
