David Anderson, LMHC, CDP, has been hired as the first director of Hazelden Betty Ford in Bellevue, Washington, a part of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and an outpatient addiction treatment centre scheduled to open in April 2019, it was reported yesterday.
Anderson has a master's degree in marital and family therapy from Seattle Pacific University and has been helping youth and adults in Washington overcome addiction, depression, trauma and other mental health conditions for almost 35 years. Most recently, he spent 16 years at EvergreenHealth Monroe (formerly Valley General Hospital) as manager and then director of its Recovery Center. Prior to that, he worked at Cigna Behavioral Health and Compass Health.
Heidi Wallace, executive director for Hazelden Betty Ford's Northwest operations, said, 'We are excited to have David at the helm of our newest facility, which will immediately be an integral part of our national system of care, most prominently complementing our two Oregon facilities. David's depth and breadth of service in Washington state will be invaluable to Hazelden Betty Ford as we look to help as many individuals and families as possible in the Seattle area.'
