10 July 2018 - - Ness Ziona, Israel-based regenerative medicine company CollPlant (TASE: CLPT) (OTC: CQPTY) has appointed former Deputy Finance Minister of Austria, Dr. Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer, to its board of directors, increasing the board to seven members, the company said.
Ruttenstorfer, with a doctorate from the University of Vienna in Economics and Business, spent a total of 30 years in various capacities with OMV AG, an integrated oil and gas company headquartered in Vienna, Austria, culminating in his position as chairman of the executive board from 2002 through mid-2011.
Currently, he serves on the board of NIS a.d. Novi Sad, an energy company in southeast Europe, as well as the supervisory board of RHI AG, a global supplier of high-grade refractory products, systems, and services. He also serves as a member of the supervisory board of Flughafen Wien, AG, the Vienna International Airport.
In the past, Ruttenstorfer lent his expertise to Roche Holding AG, as a member of the board of directors as well as a number of other supervisory boards, including that of CA Immobilien AG, Telekom Austria AG, and Vienna Insurance Group AG.
CollPlant is leveraging its proprietary, plant-based recombinant human collagen (rhCollagen) technology for the development and commercialisation of tissue repair products, initially for the orthobiologics, 3D bio-printing of tissue and organs, and advanced wound care markets.
