Biopharmaceutical company Harbour BioMed (HKEX: 02142) declared on Monday that it has entered into a strategic collaboration with China National Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd (Sinopharm) to establish the Sinopharm - Harbour BioMed Innovation Consortium, focused on advancing research and development of innovative biologics.
This partnership will cover the full development lifecycle of antibody-based therapies, with a focus on oncology, immune-mediated inflammatory diseases and other therapeutic areas. Harbour BioMed will contribute its Harbour Mice fully human antibody technology platform and AI-enabled drug discovery capabilities, while Sinopharm will provide expertise in clinical development, manufacturing and commercialisation.
The companies will jointly fund research and development activities and share product rights under agreed terms, combining Harbour BioMed's antibody discovery capabilities with Sinopharm's development and commercialisation infrastructure.
