Cell-free DNA and precision medicine company Natera Inc (NASDAQ:NTRA) announced on Thursday that it has entered into a collaboration with privately held biotech company Angiex Inc to assess treatment response to Angiex's investigational nuclear-delivered antibody-drug conjugate AGX101 using Natera's Signatera test.

Angiex is conducting a Phase I trial of AGX101, a TM4SF1-directed therapy designed to deliver a cytotoxic payload to TM4SF1-expressing tumour cells and tumour-associated endothelial cells.

The trial is enrolling patients with unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic solid tumours, with the collaboration providing longitudinal Signatera testing of circulating tumour DNA to explore its potential for monitoring treatment response.

Natera said Signatera's personalised ctDNA measurements may complement radiologic assessments and provide additional information when imaging shows metabolic or structural changes whose relationship to viable tumour is uncertain.
