GSK seeks European approval for single-dose Bexsero booster in older children and adults
20 July 2026 -

Biopharmaceutical company GSK plc (LSE: GSK) (NYSE: GSK) reported on Monday that the European Medicines Agency has accepted its submission to update the Bexsero label to include a single booster dose for individuals aged 10 years and older who were previously vaccinated against meningococcal B disease.

If approved, the booster could be offered to those vaccinated during infancy from the age of 10, helping to reduce the burden of invasive meningococcal disease in countries with established infant MenB vaccination programmes.

The submission is supported by a Phase 3b study in participants aged 10 to 20 years, which showed a single booster dose effectively enhanced immune responses in individuals vaccinated as infants. Full study results will be presented at the International Pathogenic Neisseria Conference in September.
