Life science research and diagnostics solutions provider Bruker Corporation (Nasdaq:BRKR) announced on Wednesday that it has acquired the DISQVER clinical metagenomics platform from Noscendo GmbH, expanding its next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based infection detection capabilities.
The DISQVER platform enables metagenomic NGS analysis of microorganisms directly from blood samples, using advanced bioinformatics to analyse whole genome sequencing data and identify more than 11,000 microbes and parasites.
The technology analyses cell-free DNA samples without prior cultivation and can deliver results in less than 24 hours after sample receipt. DISQVER is currently available for research use only, while Bruker advances registration for diagnostic applications.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Bruker does not expect the acquisition to have a material impact on its FY26 financial results.
