Gentian Diagnostics (OSE:GENT), a Norway-based developer of in vitro diagnostic reagents, said on Wednesday that it is planning to enter into a collaboration agreement with Essange Reagents, a Netherlands-based developer of specialty immunology and haematology reagents for the global in vitro diagnostics market.
The agreement focuses on the development and evaluation of diagnostic assays for clinical use.
Under the planned partnership, Essange will provide technology, materials and intellectual property related to selected existing assays, while Gentian will dedicate research and development resources to support evaluation and development activities.
This collaboration combines Essange's specialty immunology reagent expertise with Gentian's capabilities in adapting assays for automated clinical chemistry platforms, with an initial focus on assessing assay opportunities and transferring existing technologies into scalable turbidimetric testing formats for global diagnostic markets.
