Figures released by the National Health Commission of China reveal that on Tuesday the country had administered over 6.5 million COVID-19 vaccine shots, BBC News reported on Wednesday.
According to the NHC, this brings the total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses delivered to people across the country to almost 2.5 billion.
China has administered the highest overall number of COVID-19 vaccine doses since the start of the pandemic, the BBC added.
