UK and South Korea agree to swap over a million COVID-19 vaccine doses
22 September 2021 -

The UK has agreed to swap over a million COVID-19 vaccine doses with South Korea in an effort to "enhance the rollout of life-saving jabs", BBC News reported on Wednesday.

According to the UK government, South Korea will receive the first batch of Pfizer (NYSE:PFE)-BioNTech (Nasdaq:BNTX) COVID-19 vaccines in the coming weeks.

This initiative is expected to help South Korea hit its target of fully vaccinating 70% of its population by the end of October 2021.

The South Korean government will return the same volume of doses to the UK at a later date.
