The UK government has added India's Covishield COVID-19 vaccine to its list of approved vaccine jabs, BBC News reported on Wednesday.
People who have had two doses of the Covishield vaccine can now enter the country without having to self-isolate for 10 days from next month.
The same applies to other formulations of the main approved Oxford/AstraZeneca (LON:AZN), Pfizer (NYSE:PFE)/ BioNTech (Nasdaq:MRNA), Moderna (Nasdaq:MRNA) and Janssen (NYSE:JNJ) vaccines.
The UK government stated: "Formulations of the four listed vaccines, such as AstraZeneca Covishield, AstraZeneca Vaxzevria and Moderna Takeda, qualify as approved vaccines."
