Swedish cancer diagnostics company BiBBInstruments AB (Spotlight Stock Market: BIBB) said on Thursday it has signed its first European commercial distribution agreement for its powered endoscopic biopsy system EndoDrill GI with European healthcare and medical technology distribution group Palex Medical S.A.U. in Spain.
The deal grants Palex Spain exclusive rights to market and sell EndoDrill GI nationally and is intended to support wider expansion across the Palex network. The agreement covers EndoDrill GI only, with scope to add further products as they become commercially available.
Commercial launch activities in Spain have begun. EndoDrill GI has already been used in patient cases at endoscopic ultrasound centres in Madrid and Valladolid, providing early clinical experience to support market development.
EndoDrill GI is a powered biopsy instrument for endoscopic ultrasound with FDA 510(k) clearance and CE marking. It uses a rotating needle tip to obtain intact core tissue samples for histopathology and molecular analysis and is currently being commercialised in the United States through TaeWoong Medical USA.
