US FDA likely to authorise COVID-19 booster shots for 16 and 17-year-olds

The US Food and Drug Administration could authorise COVID-19 boosters for use in 16 and 17-year olds as soon as next week, Reuters news agency reported on Tuesday, citing the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

The WSJ reported late on Monday that the US FDA would authorise the Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE) and BioNTech SE (Nasdaq:BNTX) COVID-19 vaccines.
