ObvioHealth, a New York-based virtual research organisation (VRO) that provides clinical evidence through tech-enabled trials, announced on Tuesday that it is working with Chemist Warehouse, an Australian chain of retail pharmacies, to enable more efficient and convenient clinical trials in Australia.
The collaboration is intended to offer sponsors easier access to a wider range of participants by driving awareness about trials to Chemist Warehouse customers in Australia. Chemist Warehouse will offer multichannel, targeted communication, including in-store and online touchpoints, to its customer base to promote ObvioHealth-managed trials. This also includes informing participants about trials via Chemist Warehouse's range of media assets, including a TV show, wellness magazine and newspaper editorial inserts.
Under the partnership, ObvioHealth can also use Chemist Warehouse's telehealth services, Instant Consult, for studies that need clinician evaluations, reducing participant burden by eliminating the requirement for them to travel to in-clinic visits.
Ivan Jarry, ObvioHealth CEO, said: "As trial sponsors increasingly look to Australia to conduct their research, we're excited to offer a solution to overcome their biggest roadblock -- finding and enrolling the right patients."
