The Alliance for Safe Biologic Medicines, an organisation of diverse healthcare groups and individuals, announced on Friday that it has named gastroenterologist Ralph McKibbin, MD, FACP, FACG, AGAF as its new chairman.

Dr McKibbin commenced his three-year term on 1 September, taking over from Madelaine Feldman, MD, FACR.

Dr McKibbin is a practicing gastroenterologist in Altoona Pennsylvania and was previously president of Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology and of Digestive Disease National Coalition.
