Alcanza Clinical Research names new chief commercial officer
2 July 2024 -

Alcanza Clinical Research, a US-based integrated network of research facilities involved in reducing barriers to clinical research participation, especially in underrepresented patient populations, announced on Monday that it has named Casey Orvin as its new chief commercial officer.

In the new role, Orvin is to head business development, feasibility, marketing, and public relations functions.

Casey has served as chief commercial officer for CenExel, president of the Society for Clinical Research Sites. He started his career in 2001 and has successfully headed the growth of various large site networks including Radiant Research, where he facilitated the acquisition of two competitive site organisations that established the largest clinical research site network in the US at the time.

Carlos Orantes, Alcanza CEO, said, 'Casey's leadership capabilities and extensive industry relationships will enable Alcanza to achieve its growth-filled vision. As biopharmaceutical pipelines continue to prosper and sponsors seek more inclusive representation in clinical trials, Alcanza is actively transforming the site model to reach patient populations that better reflect the demographics of US diversity. I am confident that Casey will bring the enthusiasm and integrity to advance Alcanza's mission for which he is known.'
