OneOncology, a US-based national platform for independent oncology practices, announced on Monday that it has named Ian Flinn, MD, PhD, as its new chief scientific officer.

In the new role, Dr Flinn will manage OneR, OneOncology's research network.

Dr Flinn has served as the director of Blood Cancer Research at Sarah Cannon Research Institute. He has headed clinical research for the Sydney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins and was an associate professor of oncology. He will also work as chief scientific officer at Tennessee Oncology.
