Flagship Pioneering, a bioplatform innovation company, announced on Monday that it has named Amanda Kay as its new senior partner and chief business development officer.

In the new role, Kay will be responsible for driving and supporting business development across the Flagship ecosystem, and in strengthening collaborations between Flagship companies and the biopharma industry. She will also collaborate with the Pioneering Medicines unit of Flagship as it continues to invest in and increase corporate alliance strategy.

Kay has served at Flagship Pioneering as an operating partner and president of Metaphore Biotechnologies. She has held the position of chief business officer and head of Finance at Deep Genomics, senior vice president of Corporate Development at Synlogic, Inc and chief operating officer for Pfizer's Inflammation and Immunology Research Unit.
