22 October 2020 - - US-based pharmacy chain operator CVS Health (NYSE: CVS) will be providing COVID-19 vaccinations to long-term care facilities throughout the country when the vaccine becomes available, the company said.

From the early days of the pandemic, CVS Health mobilized its colleagues and resources to offer the first large-scale COVID-19 testing sites in the country and have now administered more than 5m COVID tests.

The company has already administered more than 9m flu shots in 2020 and is well on its way to administering nearly 20m by year's end.

CVS Health is an American healthcare company that owns CVS Pharmacy, a retail pharmacy chain; CVS Caremark, a pharmacy benefits manager; Aetna, a health insurance provider, among many other brands. The company's headquarter is in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
