Healthcare rehabilitation company Performance Health reported on Monday the election of Jeff George as its chief executive officer with immediate effect, succeeding Mike Orscheln.
Also effective immediately, Harry Kraemer has been named as chairman of the company's board.
Previously, Kraemer was employed as the chairman and chief executive officer of Baxter Internationaland the current performance health board member.
Recently, George has served as group executive committee at Novartis as well as divisional CEO of Sandoz and Alcon, Novartis's eye care subsidiary. Previously, he was head of Emerging Markets at Novartis Pharmaceuticals for the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and CIS as well as vice president and head of Western & Eastern Europe for Novartis Vaccines.
Earlier in his career, George has worked as senior director of Strategic Planning and Business Development at Gap Inc as well as an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company in San Francisco.
Currently, George is a member of the board of directors of Roam Analytics, a Stanford University- and venture capital-backed machine learning and artificial intelligence healthcare data analytics firm based in Silicon Valley.
