Respiratory and anaesthesia company The CAREstream Group revealed on Friday the completion of the acquisition of Christie Medical Holdings Inc from Christie Digital Systems Inc, a visual technologies company and a subsidiary of Ushio Inc, Japan.
In conjunction with the sale, Paul Damiani, one of CAREstream's senior group members, has been elected as president of Christie Medical Holdings and be responsible for all aspects of the business.
Based in Memphis, TN, Christie Medical Holdings Inc is a global company that discovers, develops and commercialises medical technologies. Its two dominant products are the VeinViewer Vision 2, the optimal vein finder device for hospitals and institutions and the VeinViewer Flex, a portable vascular visualization device.
The financial details of the sale were not disclosed by the companies.
