Beyond Pink welcomed healthcare professionals, cancer survivors and community figures for an evening focused on wellness, awareness and preventative care for women. Taking place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, the event began with a networking session before Health Magazine editor Suchitra Bajpai Chaudhary opened the proceedings with a warm introduction that set the tone for the night's discussions.
The programme featured two panel discussions moderated by prominent journalist Manju Ramanan. The evening's centrepiece was a keynote speech from globally recognised actress and author Lisa Ray, who shared her powerful experience surviving multiple myeloma. She stressed the essential need for women to be represented in all clinical trials and encouraged consideration of Hormone Replacement Therapy for menopause. Her insights brought emotional depth and encouragement, earning her recognition through a floral bouquet, plaque and certificate.
Speaking about the event, Mr. Vignesh S. Unadkat, COO of Thumbay Media, said:
"Women's health deserves this level of attention and openness. I'm grateful to everyone who showed up, spoke up and helped turn Beyond Pink into a space where learning, support and hope came together."
The first panel assembled respected medical specialists: Dr. Brajesh Mittal (Cardiology), Dr. Shady Lahbib (Nutrition), Dr. Partha Sarathi Das (Reproductive Medicine), Dr. Rini Kuruvilla (Gynaecology and Obstetrics), Dr. Muhammad S. Tahir (Mental Health) and dietitian Ms. Mitun Sarkar. They addressed issues ranging from cardiovascular health to fertility, screenings, nutrition and mental wellness, ensuring women had practical guidance to prioritise their health.
The second panel shifted the focus to personal stories of strength and recovery. Breast cancer warriors Ms. Renuka Parmeshwar Sharma and Ms. Shirin Sarkaree bravely recounted their journeys, highlighting the life-changing impact of early detection. General Surgeon Dr. Verushka Mansukhani contributed important advice on self-examination, regular screenings and prompt medical attention.
Dr. Nadia Choudhry, Founder and Managing Director of NADZ Healthcare, noted:
"At NADZ, we believe health is not just about treatments -- it is about dignity, care and being present when it matters most. Supporting an initiative like Beyond Pink reflects our commitment to empower every woman with knowledge, compassion and access. We are proud to stand with survivors, experts and community leaders to shine a light on women's health across the UAE."
The event delivered a clear message: women's health must be supported through open dialogue, education and a unified community. Beyond Pink reminded attendees that wellness is a right, not a luxury, and that every woman should be equipped with the knowledge to take charge of her wellbeing.
Organised by Health Magazine and Thumbay Media, the event was supported by NADZ Home Healthcare, G.O.A.T Realty, Orchid Fertility and Acacia Garden Centre LLC, along with individual sponsors Ms. Kusum Dutta, Ms. Roxanne Jaffer, Ms. Parveen Agarwal and Dr. Rini Kuruvilla.
