Remote patient monitoring company Clear Arch Health on Thursday expanded its new connected health devices to ensure timely clinical touchpoints for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) management.
According to the company, the expanded product portfolio includes thermometer, peak flow meter, spirometer and pulse oximeter to support multiple conditions and provide clinical teams access to patient generated health data to manage high-risk patient populations.
In the wake of COVID-19, there is an increased need for telehealth services and access to remote health data as people have opted to avoid in-person care. Clinicians are concerned that delaying care, whether it is a routine visit or a necessary trip to the emergency room, could exacerbate symptoms or cause further health complications in patients with existing COPD, asthma and pneumonia, said the company.
The company's platform features offer multi-modal communications, including real time vitals monitoring, alert logic, compliance virtual reminders, enhanced audio, dedicated user interface with visual data, health-related surveys and questionnaires and patient education. All devices are wireless and automatically connect to a communications hub to notify clinical teams about a patient's health status.
