South Korea-based regenerative medicine company PharmaResearch Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ: 214450), which develops medicines, medical devices, cosmetics and health supplements, said on Wednesday it has agreed to acquire US cosmetics manufacturer Cosmetic Group USA to strengthen its localisation strategy in North America.
PharmaResearch signed the agreement on 30 June as demand for its REJURAN Cosmetics brand increases in the United States following launches across Sephora and Amazon. Financial terms were not disclosed.
CG USA, based in California, provides OEM and ODM services covering product planning, formula development, manufacturing, filling, packaging and quality control. It operates an FDA-registered facility with a quality management system aligned with cGMP standards and has the capability to produce over-the-counter products.
PharmaResearch said the acquisition will secure a local production base, improving supply chain efficiency and responsiveness across manufacturing, logistics and distribution. The company, which currently supplies the US market with products made in Korea, aims to enhance supply stability in North America and accelerate its localisation strategy across the wider Americas. The brand is expanding through online and offline channels and is scheduled to enter Canada in the second half of the year.
