Gravity Diagnostics announces Kroger Health's home collection kit to expand COVID-19 testing
2 July 2020 -

CLIA laboratory Gravity Diagnostics reported on Wednesday the receipt of the US Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) updated Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to include use of nasal swab specimens using the Kroger Health COVID-19 test home collection kit.

The company added that the nasal swab specimens testing solution combines the safety and convenience of at-home specimen collection with the expert guidance of a Kroger Health clinician through video telehealth visit.

To date, Gravity Diagnostics has processed over 250,000 COVID-19 samples. Kroger Health will make the kits available to frontline associates based on medical need first, with a goal of processing up to 60,000 per week by the end of July.
