icometrix secures new funding of USD18m

Brain imaging Artificial Intelligence company icometrix announced on Tuesday that it has raised USD18m in new funding.

This funding was secured through a partnership led by Forestay Capital along with Optum Ventures and existing investor Capricorn Venture Partners.

According to icometrix, its CE-marked and FDA-cleared icobrain software extracts clinically meaningful information from brain MRI and CT scans of patients with neurological disorders that include Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and dementia, as well as traumatic brain injury.

The company added that its icobrain AI solutions are used in over 100 hospitals and imaging centre networks around the world, as well as in clinical studies by some of the top pharmaceutical companies.
