Biotechnology company MetaVia Inc (Nasdaq: MTVA) announced on Wednesday that it will present Phase 1 clinical trial data for DA-1726, its investigational dual GLP-1 and glucagon receptor agonist, at the Precision Liver Symposium 2026 in Denver, Colorado, on 4 November 2026.
The oral presentation, led by chief medical officer Sarah Browne, will cover a randomised, placebo-controlled trial examining reductions in liver fat measured by MRI-PDFF, weight loss and relative preservation of lean body mass. The presentation is scheduled for 1.35pm Mountain Time.
DA-1726 is a once-weekly injectable candidate being developed for metabolic diseases. In a Phase 1 multiple ascending dose trial in people with obesity, the 32mg dose showed potential for weight loss, improved glucose control and reduced waist circumference, alongside encouraging changes in non-invasive measures of liver fat and stiffness.
MetaVia is also developing vanoglipel (DA-1241), a GPR119-targeting candidate for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH).
