Blue Lake Biotechnology Inc, a clinical-stage intranasal vaccine company, on Monday reported the presentation of interim data from the company's Phase 1/2a paediatric clinical trial of RSV vaccine candidate BLB201 as a late-breaking abstract at the International Society for Vaccines 2026 Annual Congress in Antwerp, Belgium.
BLB201 is an intranasal RSV vaccine candidate being evaluated in Phase 1/2a clinical testing in children aged 8 to 59 months. It uses a proprietary PIV5 vector to express the RSV-F protein.
Interim data indicated that BLB201 may prevent symptomatic RSV infection in young children.
BLB201 has received Fast Track designation from the US Food and Drug Administration for prevention of RSV-associated acute respiratory disease in adults aged over 60 years and paediatric populations.
