The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St Louis Board of Trustees has named David D Allen, RP., PhD, FASHP, FNAP, FAPhA, as its new president effective 1 July 2021, it was reported on Wednesday.
Allen has served as dean of the School of Pharmacy, professor of biomolecular sciences and executive director of and research professor in the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Mississippi. He was dean of pharmacy at the Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Pharmacy, formerly Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Pharmacy, in Rootstown, Ohio, and associate dean of curricular affairs at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy in Amarillo, Texas. He was also a professor of physiology and pharmacology in NEOMED's College of Medicine while he was the dean of pharmacy.
Allen is to succeed John A Pieper, PharmD, FCCP, FAPhA, FFIP.
