Maruho names new president and CEO

Japan-based Maruho Co Ltd has named Atsushi Sugita as its new president and chief executive officer, effective 18 December 2020, it was reported on Friday.

Sugita is to replace Koichi Takagi who will remain with the company as chairman of the board.

Sugita has served at Johnson & Johnson's US headquarters and Janssen Japan. He held various positions at Maruho's R&D Labs, Head Office, and global subsidiaries.
