It was reported on Thursday that INOVIO (NASDAQ:INO), a United States-based biotechnology company, has named Gene Kim as the president of INOVIO Asia, LLC and Mammen (Anza) Mammen, MD, FACP, FIDSA as its new senior vice president, Clinical Development.
Kim has served as chief financial officer of several publicly traded Korean companies listed on the KOSDAQ exchange. He was earlier chief financial officer of VGX Pharmaceuticals and most recently served as chief financial officer of AfreecaTV, Co Ltd, and WeMade Entertainment Co Ltd. He also served at Yodlee and Deutsche Bank.
Dr Mammen has served as chief of the Pandemic Warning Team for the United States Department of Defense at Fort Detrick, Maryland. He has served as chief, Department of Virology at the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangkok, Thailand and as an infectious disease officer at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. He also headed clinical development at Vical Inc.
