Dr. Nackel founded Three-Sixty Advisory Group, LLC (Three-Sixty) in 2007 to help emerging health care services and medical technology companies address growth, performance, and capital challenges.
In 2018, he founded Wavemaker Three-Sixty Health (Wavemaker 360) which is a health-care dedicated early-stage venture fund.
Prior to Wavemaker 360, Dr. Nackel served as the chief executive officer of Ingenix Consulting (now Optum), a United Health Group (NYSE: UNH) company.
He was global managing director of health services at Ernst and Young (now EY) for 25 years and was also the CEO of Sogeti North America, the professional services division of CapGemini.
Dr. Nackel currently serves on the board of directors of the Pennant Group (NASDAQ: PNTG) which provides home health, hospice and assisted living services. Previously he served for 12 years on the board of the Ensign Group, Inc., (NASDAQ: ENSG) which provides skilled nursing and rehabilitative services and Mercury General (NYSE: MCY), a specialty writer of all risk classifications of automotive insurance.
He earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics and economics from Tufts University, master's degrees in public health and industrial engineering, and a Ph.D. in industrial engineering and health administration from the University of Missouri.
