Rani Therapeutics, the creator of the robotic RaniPill capsule designed to replace injections of large drug molecules, announced on Friday that it has named Svai Sanford as its first Chief Financial Officer.
Sanford is to report directly to Rani Therapeutics' Chairman & CEO, Mir Imran. Sanford will be responsible for the company's finances, accounting, administration and investor relations.
Sanford has more than two decades of experience as an executive in finance and operations in the biotech, pharmaceuticals and technology industries. He led acquisition, IPO, and financing strategy and execution at companies including SFJ Pharmaceuticals, VIVUS Inc and Elan.
