BC Platforms appoints Richard Kivel as chairman

BC Platforms has appointed Richard Kivel as chairman to accelerate global growth, the genomic data management and analytics company announced on Thursday.

Kivel brings with him extensive experience in building scientifically driven companies seeking to positively impact the lives of patients, focusing on the creation of shareholder value through the increase of revenues and bottom-line growth.

His previous roles have seen him serve as a C-level executive, investor, and board director in both public and private companies in the biotech, bioinformatics and diagnostics space in the US, Europe and Asia.

He is currently the managing director at Graybella Capital, a European investment fund, and also holds numerous director positions both in the US and in Europe. Kivel is also a guest lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Trustee of the Bankiter Foundation of Innovation, a global technology think-tank based in Spain and Portugal.

At BC Platforms, Kivel will use his expertise and network to play a key role in supporting the company's growth in the US and globally.
