Independent Pharmacy Cooperative signs cooperation agreement with Legacy Pharmacy Group
17 February 2025 -

Independent Pharmacy Cooperative (IPC), a Group Purchasing Organisation (GPO) for independent pharmacies in the United States, announced on Sunday that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Legacy Pharmacy Group (LPG), the tristate area's largest GPO for independent pharmacies.

This strategic partnership aims to enhance the capabilities and offerings for both organisations, benefiting members and advancing independent pharmacy.

The partnership is intended to provide a streamlined supply chain, fast delivery and competitive pricing for essential medications and healthcare products.

IPC's government relations team will work in collaboration with LPG legislative advocacy to provide members with insights, legislative updates and additional advocacy efforts. Together, IPC and LPG will champion PBM reform, protect pharmacist provider status and defend patient access to cost effective medications at community pharmacies.

LPG members will be able to use IPC's comprehensive suite of pharmacy services, including operational and clinical programme expansion and support, contract and PSAO compliance assistance, and business development resources.

IPC's iCare+ platform provides LPG members with access to digital health services that include tele health, patient transport and discount prescriptions offering patients the opportunity for non-emergent medical care, transportation and prescription services.

LPG members have access to their own warehouse for use as a quality secondary wholesaler and will now also gain access to an extensive range of brand-name and generic drugs through the IPC Warehouse.
