The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation donates USD150m in grants across New York State

The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, an organisation formed after the 2018 sale of Fidelis Care, has announced on Wednesday that it has awarded around USD150m in grants across New York State.

The grants are to be used to fund more than 500 activities, programs, and initiatives in 2020, concentrated on improving the health and quality of life for low-income and underserved communities.

The foundation's first round of grants include USD57m toward general services for low-income individuals and families, USD25m toward youth and young adults, USD18m toward programming, nursing, and caregiving services for older adults, USD18m toward housing and services for persons with special needs, USD10m toward initiatives for immigrants and refugees, USD7m toward needs of young children, pregnant women, and new mothers, USD4m toward opportunities for formerly incarcerated individuals, USD4m toward programs at Federally Qualified Health Centers and USD3m toward support services for veterans.
