Evli Bank's profit up in 2019

Evli Bank Oyj (HEL:EVLI), a bank specialising in investments, reported on Friday profit of EUR18.7m, or diluted EPS of EUR0.71, for the financial year 2019. Profit for the financial year included a negative EUR0.6m of the share of the associated company

This was an increase over profit of EUR17.3m, or diluted EPS of EUR0.68 in 2018, which includes EUR2.1m of the share of the associated company. Reportedly, the company profit for the fourth quarter of 2019 was at a record high.

Return on equity for the year was 23.4%, as compared with 23.0% in 2018. Net assets under management grew and totalled a record-high EUR14.3bn at the end of December 2019, as compared with EUR11.4bn at the end of the prior year.

Also, a dividend of EUR0.66 per share is proposed, as compared with EUR0.61 per share in the prior year.

In addition, the company provided outlook for 2020 and estimates operating profit for 2020 to be clearly positive.
