Post-acute care company Encompass Health Corp (NYSE:EHC) revealed on Tuesday the completion of the acquisition of privately owned Camellia Healthcare and its affiliated entities for an undisclosed amount.
The Camellia Healthcare portfolio reportedly includes 18 hospice, 14 home health and two private duty locations in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Tennessee. It collected revenues of approximately USD78m in 2017.
Through the acquisition, Encompass Health leverages its home health and hospice operating platform across key certificate of need states as well as strengthens its geographic presence in the Southeastern US.
Following immediate closing, Encompass Health, the country's fourth largest provider of Medicare-certified skilled home health services, is now positioned as a top 25 provider of hospice services.
